Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a highly organized candidate to work alongside the owners of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in bookkeeping and office administration. This position requires attention to detail, accurate data entry skills, eager to go above and beyond to help with our fast-growing business. The position is 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. A benefits package after the successful completion of a 3-months’ probationary period.

Responsibilities

May include but are not limited to:

  • Main office receptionist duties
  • Receiving and processing mail
  • Enter ongoing customer invoices and accounts payable transactions
  • Process weekly payroll and manage related reporting and remittances
  • Maintain orderly filing system for financial records
  • Maintain and prepare Excel spreadsheets
  • General administrative support as required
  • Experience with calculating and filing government remittances for HST, payroll, source deductions, WSIB and Employee Contributions
  • Assist in Estimating
  • Keep up to date with Health and Safety

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, Familiar with sage
  • A/P, A/R, bank & G/L reconciliation experience
  • Payroll Experience
  • Professional presentation and conduct
  • Responsible and self-managed
  • Excellent follow-up and tracking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
